More Information
The phenomenal history of Phellinus Linteus dates back to the Ming dynasty. In Li Shizhen’s Compendium of Materia Medica, Phellinus Linteus was praised for its nourishing and strengthening properties. It is a rare medicinal herb that could support health and extend longevity.
The aftermath of World War II left Hiroshima and Nagasaki with serious health issues amongst civilians. Those who fled to Meshima Island were found to have a lower rate of contracting serious health issues, thanks to Phellinus Linteus which was consumed in abundance there. Intrigued by this observation, Japanese scientists researched on Phellinus Linteus in 1968 and revealed that Yunzhi and Shitake could inhibit 77.5% and 80.7% of abnormal cells respectively, Phellinus Linteus can inhibit about 96.7%.
Today, the therapeutic value of Phellinus Linteus is internationally recognized in defying, preventing the spreading and recurrence of serious health issues.
Phellinus Linteus is rather particular about its habitat and mainly found in China, Japan and Korea. Only the wild grown Phellinus Linteus that are 20 – 30 years old are suitable for medicinal use. Nowadays, the mushroom has almost become extinct and always in short supply. Since it grows very slowly, even artificial cultivation is challenging. To preserve this invaluable therapeutic mushroom, specialists at Nu Pharm® have been thoroughly selecting the finest spores with the highest quality genes from Phellinus Linteus. Mycelia formed would be genetically analysed and carefully nurtured in vitro inside an uncontaminated environment. All Bio Longue Vie® Phellinus Linteus are produced with an advanced organic cultivation technique known as “soilless potting” to ensure the finest purity and quality. The mycelia is subsequently transferred to Loire Valley of France – a sanctuary with the most ideal natural environment, the perfect place for Bio Longue Vie® Phellinus Linteus to be organically cultivated. All products are organically certified by Bureau Veritas Certification France SAS with the “AB” endorsement (AB-3330/63913).
