Phellinus linteus, a type of basidiomycete fungus, features a conical, umbrella-shaped, or horseshoe-shaped cap without a stalk, with an exterior ranging from liver-brown to dark gray-black and a bright orange-yellow underside. As early as the Ming Dynasty, Phellinus linteus documented as a precious medicinal herb for nourishing and strengthening the body, supporting vitality, and promoting longevity, with a long history of use in China.
